He has investigated educational issues and the interaction between demographic change and state and local fiscal challenges. Prof. Schmidt has served as an advisor to numerous local, regional, and national agencies.

Prof. Schmidt has extensive business experience as a senior executive of a Fortune 500 company and as a CEO of a mid-size manufacturing company. Back
