Mark Partridge

Professor of agricultural economics and holder of prestigious title of Canada chair, Prof. Partridge is also director of The Canada Rural Economy Research Lab (CRERL). The goal of CRERL is to research informed public policies designed to stabilize and enhance rural communities. In addition, Prof. Partridge’s research focuses on emerging urban centers where governance and finance are identified as major challenges in coping with growth and expansion.

A former visiting fellow at The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Prof. Partridge has explored public policy issues related to economic growth and persistent poverty status, income inequality, labor market performance, and the local business cycle. He has presented testimony to the US Congress as well as parliamentary bodies in Canada. Back
